My Style and Inspiration

My Counseling, Therapy, and Coaching Style

My style is grounded in a person-centered approach—anchored in empathy, active listening, and genuine understanding. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and goals.

Building a strong therapeutic alliance is central to my work. Together, we’ll uncover your unique experiences, strengths, and desires to help you move toward healing, self-awareness, and authentic living.

A Spiritually Grounded Approach

Spirituality and kindness are integral to my practice. I believe your spiritual self can be a powerful source of peace, resilience, and transformation. Whether or not you identify with a specific tradition, we’ll explore what brings meaning to your life—so you can reconnect with your truth and purpose.

Practical Tools and Integrated Methods

I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Our work may involve processing trauma, easing anxiety or depression, or developing a practical plan to navigate transitions or pursue personal goals. I blend deep insight with practical strategies that support real-life change.

Authentic Growth and Lasting Change

My approach is integrative and flexible—always centered around your needs. I support you in building emotional resilience, discovering your strengths, and creating a life rooted in clarity, direction, and fulfillment. Authenticity is foundational. I’m here to help you embrace your true self and move forward with confidence and joy.

What Inspires Me

Several books and teachers have influenced my practice:

  • The Art of Happiness – Dalai Lama & Howard Cutler

  • The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle

  • Man’s Search for Meaning – Viktor E. Frankl

Their messages—on presence, purpose, and compassion—continue to shape both my work and personal journey.

Some favorite quotes:

“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.” — Dalai Lama
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.” — Eckhart Tolle
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” — Viktor Frankl

These teachings speak to the power of personal growth, resilience, and the inner work that leads to transformation.

A Little About Me

Outside of my professional life, I find joy in gardening, spending time with my dogs, as well as exploring different cultures through travel. I have a natural sense of discovery and enjoy learning across many subjects—from history to metaphysics. Reading is a lifelong passion, and I’m especially drawn to wisdom literature and philosophy. I also enjoy meditation (even when I’m not perfect at it), yoga, and good laughter. I have a quirky side and value honesty, depth, and a sense of wonder.

Ultimately, my inspiration comes from witnessing the strength, resilience, and transformation of my clients. Supporting others as they grow, heal, and live more authentically continues to be my greatest source of meaning and gratitude.
